A Little Something Shiny . .
One of my favorite artist is Mary Hettmansperger and she has a new book out called Wrap, Stitch, Fold & Rivet. Deryn Mentock, another artist I admire put out a challenge to create all the projects in Mary's new book, and I took her up on it. So this piece is the first project, the Stacked Spinner Necklace. I apologize for the quality of the photos, but it should give you a good enough view to see what this piece is all about. I used textured brass, etched copper and copper that was treated with a chemical patina. I actually think this piece turned out kind of cool, and I really like that it has great movement. I really love the third project, but I will now move on to the second one which is Folded Earrings. Just thought you would like to see what has been occupying my mind and hands these days.

Beautiful work! I'm so glad you're joining us!
Deborah, Fun isn't this? Great job on the necklace...now onto the second one!
Deborah - what a beautiful piece! I love your use of all the different metals, shapes and patinas. Great job!

I like the different metals and patinas you used in your necklace. Fun projects. I'm a late comer to the challenge but am making progress and enjoying the whole thing.
The second metal piece has such a fabulous patina...great job!
